USB/uLan Analog to Digital Converter - ULAD 32

The ULAD 32 is an high resolution analog to digital converter with integrated USB and uLan connectivity. Device resolution and conversion noise parameters has been significantly enhanced when compared to long term produced and users well received/rated previous generation of the converters family (ULAD 31). The logic signals input and output functions and protection are enhanced as well.
The device has been designed specially for HPLC and other analytical detectors data acquisition applications, where resolution is more important than higher data rate. Unique integration with communication interfaces allows to connect device directly to usual desktop computer USB port or to use uLan protocol network to connect multiple ULAD 32 or another devices interconnected by RS-485 based bus. This allows to overcome USB bus wiring length limitation (5 meters) and connect more than ten devices in the range of hundred meters. The ULAD 32 device can provide interfacing function between USB and uLan network. This allows to use one ULAD 32 to acquire analog data from third party detector and provide control to other PiKRON HPLC devices for example. More third party instruments can be plugged to the system by connecting more ULAD 32 devices. ULAD 32 can be connected to control system through other uLan interfaces as well (i.e. RS-485 PCI cards, uLan-to-USB converters etc.).
ULAD 32 provides 4 logic signal terminals. They can be configured for input or output function independently. Enhanced protection and switching parameters allows direct connection of small solenoid valves (up-to 24 VDC) and all kinds of legacy/third party HPLC devices control signals (start, ready, injection inputs/outputs). Full range of TTL, 12 VDC and even higher voltage levels are accepted and can be switched to low, active TTL high signal level is delivered by outputs as well.
The ULAD 32 connected locally by USB means or into ulan networks is directly compatible and recognized by CHROMuLAN HPLC control and data acquisition system. The ULAD 32 connected to USB port can be used to distribute power into up to three more ULAD 32 devices to reduce need of power suplies for these devices.
Logic signals input/output section can be controlled and read directly from PC or can be configured for solvent recycling or peak selector function with use of ULAD 32 internal detector signal processing and classification.
